Resource Planner (Food Industry)

What you will do

• Schedule field activities, including service interventions, projects, training, and mandatory solution deployments, using FSM and approved planning tools.
• Assign engineers based on skills, certifications, availability, customer requirements, and business priorities.
• Balance short- and mid-term demand against capacity and coordinate adjustments through regional resources, cross-market collaboration, or outsourcing.
• Analyze workforce capacity, skills availability, utilization trends, and future demand to identify constraints and mitigation actions.
• Provide leadership with visibility into resource risks, shortages, and escalation opportunities.
• Plan internal training demand to support future market competency requirements.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a mechanical, electrical, or automation engineer in the food industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of service operations, workforce planning, and capacity management.
• Experience with planning and scheduling systems such as FSM, SAP, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Fluent English required; position located in Brussels or Utrecht.

• Experience in field service organizations.
• Knowledge of hirify.global equipment, service products, and customer operations.
• Experience with outsourcing models and cross-regional resource planning.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and automation initiatives.
