Employee Beneifits Operations Director (Insurance)

Location: On-site presence in Jefferson City, Missouri, United States; travel of up to 40% required.

Salary: $175,000–$245,000 base compensation annually.

What you will do

• Execute client retention and growth strategies through talent development, organizational optimization, automation, technology, and consistent workflows.
• Lead employee benefits operations across small group, middle market, and large group accounts.
• Improve processes, systems, client experience workstreams, and digital transformation initiatives to increase scalability and service quality.
• Monitor KPIs, operational targets, financial performance, variances, and corrective actions.
• Manage operational and insurance-related risks, controls, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional process alignment.
• Support vendor evaluation, new technology and product launches, and post-acquisition integration and M&A initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
• Active insurance license required.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in insurance and/or financial services.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience in insurance operations, management, and/or administration.
• Proven experience driving operational excellence, efficiency, business development support, and client experience improvements.
• Strong leadership, coaching, decision-making, problem-solving, relationship-building, and people-management skills.
