Commercial & Contract Manager (Defence)

What you will do

• Support complex procurement activities, including procurement strategies, tender documentation, evaluation plans, approval submissions, and schedules.
• Manage Request for Tender materials, evaluation reports, and related commercial documentation.
• Support ASDEFCON contract management, including contract changes, deliverable reviews, contractor performance monitoring, and reporting.
• Assist with contract negotiations, delegate approvals, contract management plans, and commercial governance.
• Provide commercial and financial advice while identifying and managing commercial, financial, and delivery risks.
• Coordinate stakeholder representation at contract meetings, workshops, and commercial forums, and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience in procurement, commercial management, contract management, or Defence acquisition.
• Experience supporting complex government or Defence contracts; ASDEFCON experience is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, commercial strategies, tender activities, and contract performance management.
• Ability to analyse commercial and financial information and provide clear advice to stakeholders.
• Tertiary qualification in a financial discipline is highly desirable, along with strong written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Minimum AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance and Australian citizenship are required for eligibility; compliance with ITAR is required.
