TL;DR
Contracts Manager (Government Contracts): Reviewing, negotiating, and managing customer, supplier, commercial, and government contracts with an accent on contractual risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and export controls. Focus on interpreting government contracting clauses, managing contract records, supporting compliance reviews, and translating complex legal scenarios into actionable business plans.

Location: The Woodlands, Montgomery, or Jurupa Valley, United States; Brazil, Indiana, United States. US Person status is required due to export-controlled products and data.

Salary: $123,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

  • Review, draft, negotiate, and manage customer, supplier, consulting, licensing, confidentiality, and commercial agreements.
  • Interpret contractual responsibilities, obligations, penalties, and risks for business managers.
  • Ensure compliance with company contract policies and applicable US government contracting regulations.
  • Coordinate contract issues with internal legal counsel and external attorneys and participate in contract risk reviews.
  • Manage contract tracking and archiving systems for executed agreements and amendments.
  • Develop contract training and continuously improve contract management processes.

Requirements

  • Five years of relevant experience in contracts management, contract law, or business management.
  • Specific experience with government contracting clauses and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract terms, risk management, ITAR, EAR, and OFAC regulations.
  • Degree in Law or equivalent education with contract certification.
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, communication, interpersonal, presentation, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to obtain a US government security clearance may be required; US Person status is required.

Nice to have

  • CCCM, CPCM, CFCM, or equivalent contract management certification.
