Base salary: $96,172.08–$116,236.54 per year

What you will do

• Process, inventory, and dissect mammalian, mouse, and non-human primate tissues from in vivo studies.
• Extract, purify, enrich, and quantify nucleic acids using qPCR and RT-qPCR.
• Prepare amplicon next-generation sequencing libraries and perform quality-control steps.
• Support histology workflows, including tissue preparation, sectioning, staining, imaging, and analysis.
• Maintain mammalian cell cultures and run cell-based experiments to characterize muscle AAV capsids and capsid libraries.
• Analyze data, troubleshoot technical issues, document results in ELN and LIMS systems, and collaborate with experimental and computational teams.

Requirements

• BS or MS in biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of post-graduate, full-time hands-on wet-lab experience.
• Experience with DNA/RNA purification and analysis, including qPCR or RT-qPCR.
• Experience handling mammalian tissues or other complex biological samples.
• Ability to execute complex protocols accurately, organize large sample sets, and maintain detailed experimental records.
• Proactive problem-solving approach, strong data-analysis skills, willingness to use AI, and alignment with a high-expectation research environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with AAV biology, gene therapy, viral vectors, or drug-delivery technologies.
• Experience with next-generation sequencing library preparation and animal-tissue molecular measurements.
• Experience with histology workflows and quantitative analysis.
• Familiarity with ELN-LIMS software such as Benchling.
