Data Center RMA /Inventory Specialist (AI Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Maintain accurate inventories of critical data center spares, including SFPs, fiber jumpers, hard drives, RAM, power cables, and tools.
• Update DCIM and ERP systems as hardware assets move into and out of the Ready for Use state.
• Conduct weekly and monthly physical inventory audits and monitor reorder points.
• Initiate and track RMAs with Dell, HPE, Cisco, Arista, and other vendors.
• Manage secure handling and tracking of failed storage media in line with data privacy standards.
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, loading dock operations, vendor technician access, repairs, hardware swaps, and post-repair quality checks.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in inventory management, logistics, or warehouse operations, preferably in a high-tech or data center environment.
• Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, RMA workflows, and IT hardware components.
• Experience with inventory management software and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or NetBox.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 coverage model.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Employment requires authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in cloud provider, managed services, or colocation operations.
• Exposure to GPU infrastructure, HPC clusters, or AI/ML compute environments.
• Experience with Dell TechDirect, HPE Support Center, Cisco CCO, DCIM, ERP, or enterprise asset management systems.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-88, DoD 5220.22-M, 5S/Lean, hardware identification, international shipping, and asset-tagging systems.
