AR Collection Analyst

Location: Penang, Malaysia; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work

What you will do

• Manage the full cycle of accounts receivable activities and cash collection for an assigned customer portfolio.
• Reconcile accounts receivable statements and follow up on payment schedules to meet collection KPIs.
• Detect and resolve payment disputes, escalating issues that may cause significant or long-overdue balances.
• Identify process roadblocks and improve order-to-cash and customer payment processes through cross-functional collaboration.
• Build partnerships with customer finance, accounts payable, procurement, Sales, Customer Operations, Logistics, and other internal teams.
• Track collection indicators and account trends while managing close cycles and reporting activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in finance or business operations; this is an experienced hire position.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is mandatory.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving, negotiation, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts, address overdue payments, influence stakeholders, and deliver results within agreed timelines.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Japanese or Korean.
• Experience implementing AI or automation solutions such as generative AI, Power Apps, UiPath, KNIME, or Python with measurable business impact.
