Data Center Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of 8 Data Center Technicians, including 1:1s, performance reviews, and skill-gap assessments.
• Manage installation, cabling, replacement, and decommissioning of server, storage, and networking hardware.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for data center incidents, coordinating emergency repairs and root cause analysis.
• Monitor power, cooling, and space utilization and support capacity planning for future growth.
• Oversee inventory, RMA workflows, third-party HVAC, electrical, and security contractors, and DCIM data accuracy.
• Enforce physical security and OSHA safety standards and lead documentation for SOC2, ISO, and HIPAA audits.

Requirements

• 5+ years of data center operations experience, including at least 2 years in a formal leadership or supervisory role.
• Experience supporting 24/7 customer-facing operations, shift scheduling, and on-call management.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Grafana or Prometheus.
• Proven ability to hire, train, and lead technical operations teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for high-pressure incident scenarios.
• Experience with ticketing and incident tracking systems such as PagerDuty, ServiceNow, or Jira. Employment requires authorization to work in the United States.

• CDCP or CDCS certification.
