Director, Water Infrastructure Strategy

What you will do

• Set and own the regional water strategy for existing and future data centre sites.
• Lead, coach, and develop managers responsible for utility connections, infrastructure delivery, alternative water supplies, and site optimisation.
• Assess water stress, supply risk, and regulatory conditions across the portfolio and translate findings into strategic plans and investment priorities.
• Build senior partnerships with utilities, authorities, customers, and solution providers to develop recycled, industrial, and alternative water sourcing.
• Define the roadmap to water positivity, including reuse, discharge optimisation, catchment partnerships, and measurable sustainability outcomes.
• Establish governance, performance metrics, reporting cadence, and operating rhythms for water strategy delivery.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in water utilities, water infrastructure, water sustainability, water consulting, water treatment, or recycled water.
• Strong understanding of water supply conditions across several Asia-Pacific and Japan markets, including Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Hong Kong, and Japan.
• Expertise in water supply design principles and water treatment, recycling, recovery, and capture technologies.
• Established relationships and networks in the water industry across the relevant markets.
• Strong analytical, data analysis, presentation, stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading multiple concurrent large-scale projects or programs and providing technical guidance to regional teams.
