Wafer Mfg Tool Maintenance Technician (Semiconductor)

Location: Sagamihara, Japan; onsite maintenance of wafer manufacturing tools

What you will do

• Continuously improve the stable operation of existing Epitaxy and Wafer process production lines.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance to stabilize and maximize mass-production capability.
• Respond to sudden tool troubles and malfunctions.
• Check wafer process conditions with epitaxy and process engineering teams to resume production after tool repairs.
• Visualize manufacturing tool KPIs, including utilization and availability rates.
• Detect anomalies through predictive and post-analysis of tool operation data.

Requirements

• Graduate technical college education or higher.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a relevant technical field.
• Experience handling and maintaining wafer process tools, or experience in wafer epitaxy and process development for semiconductor optical devices, is highly preferred.
• Fluent Japanese is required.
