FEP Customer Engineer I Senior (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Hiroshima, Japan; onsite customer equipment support required. Travel: 10% of the time. Relocation eligible.

What you will do

• Collaborate with senior field service engineers to install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment.
• Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Communicate and coordinate directly with customers.
• Work safely in cleanroom environments and comply with onsite safety and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport if travel is required.

Nice to have

• 1–2 years of customer or field service support experience, or related technical experience.
• Associate degree in electronics or engineering technologies.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters.
