Accounts Payable Manager (Quantum Computing)

Location: Oxford, England, United Kingdom; flexible hybrid working.

What you will do

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including bill processing and payments.
• Execute payment runs and handle ad-hoc payments for employees, suppliers, and partners.
• Maintain an accurate AP ledger through ageing analysis, balance sheet management, reconciliations, and VAT checks.
• Support a fast business day 0 AP month-end close.
• Manage supplier records and payment terms in NetSuite in partnership with Procurement.
• Identify efficiencies and improve AP processes as the business scales.

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounts payable experience in a fast-moving or high-growth technology or science company.
• Experience coding bills across different general ledger types, managing payment runs, and resolving supplier queries.
• Solid understanding of UK VAT compliance and experience with AP balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience resolving invoice discrepancies, monitoring approval workflows, and following up with budget owners.
• Experience responding to vendor and employee queries regarding invoices, payments, and account status.

Nice to have

• Experience in a listed company with a business day 0 AP close.
• SOX experience.
• Familiarity with ZIP and NetSuite.
• Experience with overseas VAT compliance.
• Accounting qualification.
