Associate Benefits Director (Portfolio Strategy) (Employee Benefits): Managing and improving Novo Nordisk Inc.'s employee benefits programs with an accent on vendor performance, regulatory compliance, financial tracking, and plan strategy. Focus on leading RFPs and contract negotiations, implementing benefit programs, analyzing cost drivers, and resolving complex participant and compliance issues.

Location: Based in Lexington, MA or Plainsboro, NJ, United States; 30%–40% overnight travel required.

Salary: $152,700–$267,300 base compensation annually, plus eligibility for a company bonus and potential long-term incentive compensation or company vehicles depending on the position.

What you will do

  • Manage hirify.global Inc.'s medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), disability, leave, executive, health and welfare, and COBRA benefit programs.
  • Lead requests for proposals, contract renewals, vendor negotiations, implementation of benefit changes, and vendor performance management.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for compliance with HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and other applicable regulations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements with outsourced vendors while monitoring service-level agreements.
  • Analyze market surveys, cost drivers, and benefit plan data to develop recommendations and annual or multi-year benefits strategies.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Procurement, Legal, global Total Rewards, and external vendors and consultants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; relevant experience may substitute when appropriate.
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible HR or related experience, including at least 6 years in Benefits.
  • Experience administering self-insured medical, 401(k), and/or short- and long-term disability plans.
  • Working knowledge of IRS, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ADA, and FMLA regulations as they relate to employee benefits.
  • Experience in benefits administration, communications, vendor management, cost management, stakeholder collaboration, and analytical decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree or CEBS/CBP certification, or progress toward certification.
  • Experience with large corporations of 1,000 or more employees.
  • Experience in benefit plan design, vendor and consultant negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and benefits due diligence.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence platforms, agents, or digital innovation solutions in Total Rewards.
