College Intern - New Product Introduction Engineering (NPI Mechanical/Mechatronics)

What you will do

• Work closely with the NPI Principal Technologist and engineering teams.
• Develop and test product and tooling concepts through rapid prototyping.
• Solve manufacturing, process, automation, and product-related problems.
• Design and modify fixtures, jigs, and tooling.
• Support experiments, characterization studies, data analysis, SPC, gage R&R, and NPI builds.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to introduce new technologies into production.

Requirements

• Current Bachelor’s or Master’s undergraduate student in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Available for a 5–6 month full-time internship starting in January 2027.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD, FEA, CFD modelling, mechanism design, machine vision systems, robotics, and programming.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and hands-on problem-solving ability.
• Initiative, independence, collaboration, communication skills, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
