Product Engineer 2 (Mechanical) (Biotech)

Location: Singapore – Woodlands – NorthTech; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Support new product introduction, product transfer into manufacturing, and ongoing product sustaining activities.
• Implement mechanical component and assembly changes, including materials, finishes, tolerances, and critical-to-quality characteristics.
• Perform tolerance stack-ups, design and execute DOEs, apply SPC, and analyze yield and quality data.
• Lead failure analysis, root-cause investigations, interim containment, and corrective or preventive actions for recurring defects.
• Qualify alternate suppliers and materials, execute PPAP and FAI activities, and support builds at contract manufacturer sites.
• Prepare engineering changes, drawings, BOMs, test reports, assembly procedures, validation protocols, and PLM records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of related experience.
• Proficiency with CAD systems such as SolidWorks or Creo, with knowledge of GD&T and DFMA principles.
• Working knowledge of FMEA, DOE, SPC, manufacturing processes, and quantitative root-cause analysis.
• Experience with PLM systems such as Teamcenter and exposure to ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with statistical tools such as Minitab or JMP.
• Strong analytical, technical documentation, collaboration, and task-completion skills.

• Experience in life sciences, biotechnology, or medical device environments.
