Senior Product Engineer (Mechanical)

Location: Singapore - Woodlands - NorthTech; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Support product transfers, new product introductions, mass-production readiness, and ongoing manufacturing operations.
• Architect mechanical subsystem changes involving enclosures, chassis, mechanisms, and thermal, fluidic, and optical interfaces.
• Perform FEA-lite, thermal modeling, fluidic characterization, data trending, statistical analysis, and structured troubleshooting.
• Define reliability test plans, acceptance criteria, critical-to-quality characteristics, process controls, and test method validation.
• Manage engineering changes, validation documentation, work instructions, test requirements, risk registers, and cross-functional action logs.
• Coordinate design engineering, operations, contract manufacturers, and suppliers, while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Typically 5+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 3+ years with a master's degree, a PhD without experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Deep expertise in mechanical mechanisms, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMA principles.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer, with familiarity with optics and fluidics interfaces.
• Advanced proficiency with CAD and PLM systems; experience with Excel, Minitab, and JMP.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485, IEC 61010, design controls, engineering change management, validation, and traceability.
• Ability to evaluate manufacturability, reliability, cost, quality, and schedule trade-offs using data-driven decisions and to mentor engineers.

Nice to have

• Scripting experience with VBA or Python.
