Data Warehouse Developer (Microsoft): Developing and supporting an on-premise common data environment that integrates multiple system sources and delivers paginated reports and Power BI dashboards with an accent on SQL, ETL, Microsoft BI services, and Azure connectivity. Focus on designing data models, building reliable data pipelines, supporting technical product strategy, and evolving the solution toward cloud and SaaS deployment.
Location: United Kingdom; hybrid work with 3 days per week at an office in the Surrey area or Swindon

What you will do
- Design, build, test, support, and evolve an on-premise common data environment within an integrated solution.
- Develop high- and low-level data models, ETL plans, and data warehouse designs for multiple source systems.
- Create paginated reports and Power BI dashboards connected to Microsoft Azure through a Gateway.
- Support the BI/MI operating model and advise the Technical Product Owner on data and reporting strategy.
- Contribute to planning, effort estimation, progress reporting, technical transformation, and mobilisation projects.
- Provide second-line technical support and manage issues from root cause analysis through resolution.
Requirements
- Experience developing, deploying, and supporting multi-source SQL data warehouses in an on-premise environment.
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Stack, including SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
- Experience with data modelling, ETL from multiple sources, Microsoft Fabric Data Lakehouses, and Power BI Paginated Reports.
- Experience connecting on-premise data warehouses to Azure, Power BI, and SharePoint.
- Strong technical documentation, collaboration, communication, and issue-resolution skills.
- Must hold or be able to obtain SC security clearance and have a 5-year UK footprint.
Nice to have
- Facilities Management data integration, VBA, and BAT programming experience.
- Experience with Scrum teams, Agile practices, code reviews, unit testing, TDD, CI/CD, and technical governance.
- Knowledge of Facilities Management and experience delivering projects for public sector clients.
