Database Developer (Climate Solutions)

What you will do

• Develop and enhance climate scenarios, climate risk analytics, temperature alignment measures, and related metrics within the Destination@Risk platform.
• Collaborate with investment, ESG, climate, stewardship, and distribution specialists to deliver reporting and analytical solutions.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL databases, stored procedures, functions, views, and data pipelines.
• Build automated processes for ingesting and managing large datasets from internal and external sources.
• Create reporting and visualization tools to support portfolio analysis and investment decisions.
• Analyze climate and portfolio data, support business users, and explore AI-enabled workflow improvements.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong SQL development skills, including stored procedures, functions, and views.
• Knowledge of database design and performance optimization.
• Experience with Python and willingness to develop skills across modern technologies.
• Understanding of window functions, CTEs, indexing, transactions, source control, and job scheduling.
• Experience with GitHub or similar version-control tools, including code review and collaboration.

Nice to have

• Interest in climate change, sustainable investing, or climate modelling.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to a range of audiences.
