Data Center Infrastructure Engineer (Liquid Cooling)

Location: Onsite daily at data center locations in North and Central New Jersey, including Totowa; travel between facilities is required. Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends is expected.

Annual base salary: $140,000–$180,000, plus year-end variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Support the design and deployment of high-density infrastructure and carry technical specifications through field execution.
• Manage site capacity across power, cooling, and space while preserving room for growth.
• Oversee vendors installing specialized power delivery and thermal management infrastructure.
• Develop runbooks and validate power distribution, thermal balance, and production readiness for new deployments.
• Evaluate and document liquid-to-chip systems and secondary cooling loops through lab and production pilots.
• Maintain monitoring and inventory records and provide senior technical support for server, hardware, and fluid-system issues.

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant experience in data center operations or critical facility environments.
• Practical experience with direct liquid cooling architectures, fluid management, operational risks, and maintenance requirements.
• Experience managing data center capacity, power chains, thermal thresholds, and evolving hardware requirements.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, diagnose power and thermal issues, and manage external partners against specifications.
• Systems administration fundamentals, including server diagnostics, firmware management, and familiarity with Linux or automation tooling.
• Reliable transportation, ability to lift and move equipment up to 75 pounds, and daily onsite availability in New Jersey are required.
