Project Engineer (Nuclear)

Location: Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States (onsite)

Salary: $70,000–$115,000 per year

What you will do

• Support and lead advanced reactor programs for the nuclear power industry.
• Plan, design, test, implement, and integrate mechanical assemblies and instrumentation and control systems.
• Capture software and hardware requirements and maintain system interfaces across internal and external teams.
• Provide technical input to schedules, cost estimates, staffing, risk assessments, and project decisions.
• Track engineering deliverables, coordinate with customers and project managers, and ensure designs meet regulatory and customer requirements.
• Support technical standards, customer responsiveness, and process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in design, analysis, testing, or system implementation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Ability to work a professional schedule in an office environment and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to lead work, make technical project decisions, and direct others.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally less than 10%.

Nice to have

• Experience with analog and digital electronic circuits, data acquisition systems, servers, workstations, networks, or AC/DC wiring.
• Experience with formal testing and integration, automated testing, software unit testing, and system test procedures.
• Experience developing proposals and bidding projects.
• Experience in the nuclear industry or another highly regulated environment.
