Location: Field-based territory covering San Diego and Arizona, United States; travel up to 60% is required, with occasional workdays of up to 15 hours due to travel.

What you will do

  • Serve as a primary scientific and clinical resource for opinion leaders, population health decision makers, healthcare providers, payers, and advocacy partners.
  • Educate stakeholders on clinical value, outcomes, economic data, and scientific evidence.
  • Develop and execute scientific engagement plans and local opinion-leader plans.
  • Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries in accordance with MSL compliance standards.
  • Support sponsored research, investigator-led clinical research, speaker training, and congress activities.
  • Share field insights and collaborate with cross-functional project teams to advance medical strategies.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree, or a master’s degree plus 3 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.
  • Experience in scientific or medical affairs at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company is preferred.
  • Strong oral, written, networking, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% across the assigned territory and to regional and national conferences.
  • Experience in rare disease, nephrology, or rheumatology is preferred.
