Batteries & Sub-Station Delivery Project Manager and Portfolio Expert (f/m/d) (BESS)

What you will do

• Deliver large-scale battery energy storage system and sub-station CAPEX projects across Europe from development through handover to operations.
• Own project safety, scope, cost, schedule, performance, and quality.
• Lead integrated project teams covering project management, contracts, risk, project controls, permitting, engineering, construction, commissioning, procurement, claims, and stakeholder management.
• Coordinate with project managers across regions to identify portfolio risks, gaps, and interdependencies.
• Provide technical and delivery assurance across multiple BESS projects by reviewing plans, critical paths, budgets, schedules, and corrective actions.
• Validate engineering designs, studies, and commissioning strategies while developing standardization, best practices, and lessons learned.

Requirements

• Degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Senior-level experience delivering BESS and/or power infrastructure projects, ideally including integrated BESS and sub-station projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects in parallel with structured project management and project controls.
• Strong BESS technical expertise and understanding of BESS cost drivers and EPC delivery models.
• Proven ability to coordinate and influence cross-country stakeholders, suppliers, EPC partners, and project teams.
• Fluent German and English at C1 level required; willingness to travel 20–40%.
