TL;DR
Application Engineer (MES): Designing and deploying MES solutions for semiconductor manufacturing customers in Hsinchu, with an accent on system architecture, integration, and manufacturing process modeling. Focus on leading customer-facing implementation projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing technical risks, and transferring new application capabilities into production environments.
Location: Hsinchu, Taiwan; worldwide travel required, especially to China, approximately 50% of the time. Relocation eligible.

What you will do
- Lead MES solution design and translate semiconductor manufacturing processes into functional and technical architectures.
- Clarify customer requirements, define system landscapes, and identify solution gaps and customization strategies.
- Lead customer-site beta activities, evaluations, demos, technical reviews, and deployment engagements.
- Coordinate application engineering, infrastructure, database, integration, and automation workstreams for end-to-end delivery.
- Identify technical risks, review designs and deployment approaches, and ensure quality and audit compliance.
- Develop application methodologies, documentation, reusable frameworks, and transfer new capabilities to customer support teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electronics, Industry, or a related field, or an MBA with an Information Systems background.
- At least 5 years of experience with MES, CIM, or manufacturing systems in semiconductor FE/BE, LCD, LED, or electronics environments.
- Strong knowledge of 300works or similar MES platforms and the ATP domain.
- Experience with system architecture, integration, large-scale deployment, and semiconductor FE/BE manufacturing processes.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, customer-facing consulting, leadership, and structured problem-solving skills.
- English and Chinese are required.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of FactoryWorks, SiView, Camstar, PROMIS, FAB300, or other MES platforms.
- Familiarity with Linux, Unix, Windows, networking, databases, shell scripting, Jenkins, Docker, message buses, ERP, MCS, and automation subsystems.
- Software development or coding experience.
- Experience with LCD, LED, or other electronics manufacturing environments.
