Lead Investment Operations (Fintech)

Location: On-site in McLean, VA or New York City, with an in-office Monday–Friday schedule; relocation to one of these areas may be discussed.

What you will do

• Serve as a subject matter expert across at least three functions: Trading, Transfers, Account Lifecycle, and Investment Experience.
• Act as a second approver for work performed by Associates and Specialists, identifying issues before they affect member accounts.
• Train and mentor at least three teammates and help define repeatable competency standards.
• Own automation and process improvements end to end.
• Connect daily operations with firm goals and identify how operations should evolve.
• Support members and Certified Financial Planners as a licensed escalation point, with involvement in investment management and portfolio modeling.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in investment operations, brokerage operations, or a comparable financial services role.
• Independent experience running most or all core investment operations functions.
• Experience training and mentoring others and delivering process or automation improvements.
• Deep familiarity with custodial or clearing platforms and core brokerage workflows.
• Clear written and verbal communication with members and firm leadership.
• Series 24 license required.

• FinTech, RIA, or broker-dealer experience.
• Interest in eventually managing a team as the company scales.
