Lead Investment Manager (Fintech)

Location

Must be based in the US or Canada. Optional office presence available in Washington D.C., New York City, and San Francisco, with co-working opportunities in Seattle, Denver, Boston, and Los Angeles.

Salary

Compensation: $300,000–$500,000+ per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Lead the execution of tax equity and preferred equity investments from term sheet through closing.
• Identify, structure, price, and document transaction risks.
• Serve as the technical authority on partnership structures, tax, and capital account basis issues.
• Present investment opportunities to the Investment Committee for screening and final decisions.
• Lead negotiations with sponsors and capital partners.
• Mentor junior team members and drive the adoption of AI-enabled workflows across the deal lifecycle.

Requirements

• 10-12+ years of experience in renewable energy, structured finance, or infrastructure investing.
• Direct experience leading tax equity transactions, including hybrids.
• Deep command of partnership structures, tax, and capital account basis issues.
• Strong financial modeling skills and ability to pressure-test complex models.
• Ability to lead IC discussions and negotiate transaction documents independently.
• Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
• FINRA SIE, Series 79, and 63 licenses (or willingness to obtain under company sponsorship).

Nice to have

• MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Environmental Studies.
• Prior experience at a bank in project finance, structured products, or leveraged finance.
• Experience with sale-leaseback transactions.
