Team Leader - Moulding (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Merlimau, Melaka, Malaysia. Morning and afternoon shift work is required six days per week, Monday to Saturday, with no more than 45 hours per week.

What you will do

• Supervise and coordinate production workers to maintain efficient workflows and high-quality output.
• Monitor productivity and implement workflow optimization strategies.
• Provide hands-on training and coaching to develop team capabilities.
• Identify and resolve operational issues and production bottlenecks.
• Maintain health, safety, and quality standards across the operation.
• Coordinate production schedules with other departments and report progress to management.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in moulding and proven experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor, or Shift Lead in manufacturing, preferably heavy industry.
• Certificate or Diploma in Engineering or Manufacturing Technology; other engineering or technical disciplines may be considered.
• Strong engineering drawing, leadership, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, resource management, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with foundry pattern assembly and repair, including wood, metal, and resin patterns.
• Knowledge of casting design, tolerances, shrinkage allowances, tooling, machining processes, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and CAD/CAM software.
