Production Supervisor (Medical Devices)

Location: Gelang Patah, Johor, Malaysia; onsite cleanroom production

hirify.global develops the OmniPod insulin management system and delivery platforms for subcutaneous drugs.

What you will do

• Lead and coach production operators in a cleanroom, focusing on performance, behavior, product quality, and operational efficiency.
• Manage weekly and monthly work-order fulfillment and report operational goals through scorecards.
• Train and onboard employees across heat staking, laser welding, mechanical swaging, PCB handling and testing, and robotic automation.
• Monitor process control through HMIs and troubleshoot mechanical errors, safety issues, machine faults, and operating inefficiencies.
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments on preventive maintenance, training improvements, corrective actions, and process validation.
• Maintain materials, inventory, quality records, GMP compliance, packaging, shipment preparation, and a clean manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience.
• English proficiency required for reading documentation, communication, and writing.
• Fluency in English and Malay required.
• Efficient use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, organization, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills; willingness to stand for at least 80% of each shift.

Nice to have

• Experience running, debugging, or maintaining highly automated discrete component assembly equipment.
• Experience with laser welding, heat staking, ultrasonic welding, ESD-sensitive devices, and HMIs.
• Familiarity with optical gauging, video microscopes, micrometers, calipers, feeler gauges, dial indicators, and gauge blocks.
• Start-up production experience and knowledge of 5S practices.
