Structural & Architectural Design Engineer (AI Data Centers)

What you will do

• Design building envelopes, façades, roofing, insulation, internal partitions, security zones, fire compartments, and access-control layouts for critical data center environments.
• Develop structural solutions and calculate loads for raised floors, IT racks, POD areas, rooftop cooling equipment, pump skids, and liquid-cooled rack zones.
• Design tunnels and infrastructure pathways for cable trays, piping, and other critical services, including lighting concepts for operational and security areas.
• Coordinate architectural and structural drawings with MEP engineers, accounting for equipment loads, clearances, cooling-pipe routes, and electrical distribution.
• Review design-build packages, identify technical risks and value-engineering opportunities, and support permitting with local authorities.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, fire-safety regulations, resilience requirements, and long-term scalability needs.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in structural and/or architectural design for industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, critical-infrastructure, or similarly complex facilities.
• Experience designing load-intensive facilities with raised floors, heavy stationary equipment, and detailed structural load calculations.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit, plus experience with a structural calculation package such as Tekla Structures, Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis, IDEA StatiCa, or Dlubal RFEM.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary architectural, structural, and MEP designs and manage technical interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of structural design principles, building layouts, space planning, technical coordination, and risk identification.
• English proficiency is required for international documentation, technical discussions, and coordination.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tier III/IV data center design standards, modular or POD-based construction, and high-density liquid-cooled IT environments.
• Polish language skills.
• Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes.
• Experience supporting greenfield or brownfield projects through construction phases.
