People Lead (EdTech)

What you will do

• Shape and execute the U.S. People strategy in partnership with the Global Head of People, CRO, CEO, and U.S. leadership.
• Build scalable People policies, processes, systems, and infrastructure aligned with local requirements.
• Drive employee experience across onboarding, engagement, performance, learning and development, succession planning, and employee relations.
• Advise managers and employees on performance conversations, career development, key transitions, and complex people matters.
• Own U.S. benefits and the employee lifecycle, serving as a trusted point of contact for employee questions and issues.
• Use employee insights, business context, and data to improve organizational effectiveness, engagement, retention, and leadership.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in People/HR, People Business Partnering, People Operations, or comparable people leadership functions.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and managers across performance, engagement, development, employee relations, and the employee lifecycle.
• Strong business acumen, communication, stakeholder management, relationship-building, judgment, and discretion.
• Analytical, data-driven, entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Ability to work full-time from Los Angeles or New York City.

Nice to have

• Experience in an international or U.S. organization.
• Experience building People processes, programs, or teams from scratch.
• Background in management consulting, early-stage startups, high-growth companies, technology, marketplaces, or data-driven commercial environments.
• Entrepreneurial experience, such as founding a company or building a project from scratch.
