Materials/Product Engineer (Materials Engineering)

Location: Hastings, Victoria, Australia; Monday to Friday day shift at the Western Port Manufacturing facility.

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day technical support to manufacturing operations through process monitoring, troubleshooting, and fault finding.
• Analyse operational and quality data to support decisions and continuous improvement.
• Drive and support improvement projects, including the implementation of new systems and tools.
• Assist with audits and help ensure products meet customer and quality requirements.
• Support a safe, productive working environment and positive product quality outcomes.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or an equivalent discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate issues and identify practical solutions.
• Ability to work effectively when priorities change and ambiguity exists.
• High computer literacy and ability to learn bespoke manufacturing systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build constructive stakeholder relationships.
• Commitment to personal and workplace safety, attention to detail, and continuous learning.
