Backend Engineering Intern (AI)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs supporting content delivery, user interactions, and social features.
• Translate product requirements into technical designs in collaboration with product managers and AI engineers.
• Participate in system design discussions and contribute to platform architecture decisions.
• Build and iterate quickly on creator-facing and internal operations MVPs.
• Troubleshoot issues involving correctness, reliability, and system performance.
• Learn and contribute alongside experienced engineers in a high-ownership environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in at least one major backend language: Go, Java, or Python.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms, operating systems, networking, and databases.
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to break down ambiguous problems.
• Ownership mindset, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Curiosity about large-scale systems and eagerness to build them.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Go.
• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Exposure to caching or message queue systems such as Redis or Kafka.
• Interest or project experience in real-time systems, media processing, or content recommendation.
• Comfort working in a Linux environment.
