Information System Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Support the Information Systems Security Manager with Assessment & Authorization, continuous monitoring plans, and security control assessments.
• Monitor Risk Management Framework activities throughout the system lifecycle and maintain the security posture of assigned systems.
• Implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, safeguards, and access controls, including least-privilege enforcement.
• Maintain Authorization to Operate packages in systems such as eMASS, XACTA 360, and Keystone.
• Review audit logs, perform compliance and vulnerability scans, and validate approved software and antivirus configurations.
• Coordinate cybersecurity readiness with physical, personnel, information, operations, communications, and technical security stakeholders, and deliver user security training.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, and Risk Management Framework processes.
• Qualification under DoDM 8140.03 and the applicable DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework work role and proficiency level.
• At least 2 years of experience conducting application, system, or network reviews and providing Department of War cybersecurity policy and technical guidance.

Nice to have

• Certification aligned with DoDM 8140.03 or the DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework.
• Experience with zero-trust concepts, VMware, RHEL, Ansible, Kubernetes, StackRox, or OpenShift.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, containerization, F5 BIG-IP, Cisco networking, or distributed technologies.
• Experience with STIG implementation and validation, IAVM compliance, NetApp storage, or Dell Blade Servers.
