Commercial Specialist (Procurement and Contract Management): Supporting complex Defence procurement activities and ASDEFCON contract management for the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Enterprise with an accent on tender documentation, commercial governance, financial advice, and contract performance. Focus on analysing commercial risks, preparing approval submissions, coordinating stakeholders, and improving procurement practices across a major Defence capability program.

What you will do
- Support complex Defence procurement activities, including procurement strategies, tender documentation, evaluation plans, and approval submissions.
- Prepare and manage Request for Tender materials, evaluation reports, procurement schedules, internal briefs, and executive documentation.
- Support ASDEFCON contract management through contract changes, deliverable reviews, contractor performance monitoring, and reporting.
- Assist with contract negotiations, delegate approvals, contract management plans, and commercial governance.
- Provide commercial and financial advice while identifying and managing commercial, financial, and delivery risks.
- Coordinate contract meetings, workshops, commercial forums, and continuous improvement initiatives across the GWEO Enterprise.
Requirements
- Experience in procurement, commercial management, contract management, or Defence acquisition.
- Experience supporting complex government or Defence contracts; ASDEFCON experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, commercial strategies, tender activities, and contract performance management.
- Ability to analyse commercial and financial information and provide clear stakeholder advice.
- Strong written communication, stakeholder engagement, attention to detail, and prioritisation skills.
- Minimum AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance and Australian citizenship required for eligibility.

- Tertiary qualification in a financial discipline.
