Valuation Analytics Senior Advisor (Energy)

Location: Rosemead, California, US; hybrid work mode with required residence and work in California. Employees report to an SCE facility for a set number of days and may work remotely on remaining days. Relocation may apply.

Salary: $182,800–$274,100 per year

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for clean-energy procurement and valuation work, including project economics, market trends, and regulatory analysis.
• Develop and enhance valuation methodologies, analytical tools, price models, and financial models for customer offerings and energy contracts.
• Lead business-case development, opportunity qualification, pricing analysis, commercial structuring, and financial-risk mitigation.
• Drive tendering, negotiation, execution, and post-sale management of high-value contracts for industrial, commercial, and public-sector customers.
• Coordinate with Legal, Pricing, Credit, operational, hedging, and commercial teams to evaluate contract terms and maintain governance.
• Translate complex analyses into recommendations for senior management, procurement strategy, regulatory initiatives, and portfolio decisions.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of experience in energy market analysis, financial forecasting, valuation, modeling, and/or contract negotiations.
• Experience leading valuation analysis and/or commercial contract negotiations.
• Ability to analyze project viability, pricing, financial structures, commercial risks, and non-standard contract terms.
• Ability to provide clear recommendations from complex quantitative and qualitative analyses.
• Must work and reside in California unless otherwise noted.
• Must pass a NERC/CIP-related Personnel Risk Assessment or Background Investigation and complete required training before unescorted site access.

Nice to have

• Experience valuing power purchase agreements, utility-owned projects, emerging technologies, and other non-standard opportunities.
• Experience guiding RFO strategy, evaluation design, and quality control for major energy solicitations.
• Knowledge of energy procurement, market, regulatory, tax, and procurement issues.
• Experience supporting regulatory proceedings, filings, and data requests.
• Experience providing cross-functional analysis for executive decisions and emerging business issues.
