Director - Pharmacy Operations (PharmD preferred)

Location: Des Moines, Iowa, USA; hybrid schedule with at least 3 days per week in the hirify.global office and 2 remote days

What you will do

• Lead pharmacy operations and align internal efficiencies with the pharmacy strategy.
• Direct the development, pricing, positioning, packaging, implementation, and support of pharmacy products.
• Manage pharmacy teams, including coaching leaders, workforce planning, budgeting, performance improvement, and strategic planning.
• Analyze pharmacy and medical benefit drug utilization, competitive intelligence, and solution performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Partner with the contracted pharmacy benefit manager, vendors, Sales, Product, Client Consulting, Member Experience, Communications, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal rules across commercial and government lines of business.

Requirements

• PharmD preferred; if holding a PharmD, an active and unrestricted pharmacy license in Iowa or South Dakota is required, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
• Bachelor’s degree or directly applicable work experience, or PharmD.
• At least 7 years of combined experience in pharmacy, product management, sales, or a related field, including financial acumen.
• Experience in healthcare or a related industry, including health insurance products, benefit design, applicable regulations, and guidelines.
• Demonstrated leadership of leaders and teams, with experience in resource management, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Applicants must already have US work authorization; immigration sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• MBA or master’s degree.
• Health outcomes training or finance- and business-related pharmacy practice experience.
• Managed-care experience.
