Senior Financial Analyst - Programs (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, CA, United States

Base salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year, plus company equity

What you will do

• Own financial forecasts for assigned customer programs, incorporating schedules, scope, risks, labor, headcount, capital expenditures, and development spend.
• Translate bills of material, staffing plans, and build schedules into program financial models.
• Build and maintain cost and revenue tracking tools covering contract performance, funding, incurred costs, ceilings, and invoicing timelines.
• Partner with accounting during monthly close to support revenue recognition, work-in-progress accounting, cost accruals, and reconciliations.
• Analyze program performance against budget, schedule, productivity, and estimate-at-completion targets.
• Present financial results, cost variances, revenue insights, and risks to program managers, cross-functional teams, and executives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, accounting, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in program finance, FP&A, or a related analytical role.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial concepts simply.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and comply with US ITAR export-control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in a startup, aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with proposal pricing, cost estimating, or government contract types.
• MBA or a professional certification such as CPA or CFA.
• Active Secret clearance.
