Senior Editor - Automation & Content Optimization (AI)

What you will do

• Lead optimization across a large library of pet health and educational content.
• Improve search visibility, email engagement, social distribution, referral performance, and conversion to product sales.
• Partner with SEO, analytics, marketing, product, and engineering teams to identify opportunities and respond to performance changes.
• Help build AI-powered tools and automated workflows for editorial optimization and content production.
• Optimize articles, headlines, metadata, formatting, and content structure across multiple channels.
• Maintain accurate, trustworthy, and brand-aligned content while balancing speed and quality.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in digital publishing, editorial, or content strategy.
• Strong knowledge of SEO, including keyword strategy, on-page optimization, and performance analysis.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools, content optimization platforms, or editorial automation workflows.
• Data-driven approach and comfort using analytics tools to guide decisions.
• Experience working across organic search, email newsletters, and social media.
• Strong editing, communication, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with health or veterinary content.
• Familiarity with content management systems and large-scale content libraries.
• Experience building or refining automated editorial processes.
• Understanding of E-E-A-T principles and content quality standards in regulated or trust-sensitive categories.
