Inventory Planner / Senior Inventory Planner (Inventory Planning): Owns and improves Thuma’s inventory forecasting and purchasing model with an accent on SKU-level demand forecasting, vendor coordination, and production scheduling. Focus on optimizing inventory metrics, improving forecast accuracy, supporting cloud-based inventory management, and enabling retail and warehouse expansion initiatives.
Location: San Francisco, California; hybrid role requiring attendance at the SF office 1–3 times per week
Salary: $80,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do
- Own and operate the inventory and demand planning model.
- Forecast inventory by SKU using historical trends, seasonality, and other demand drivers.
- Partner with Product Development on production scheduling and forecasts for new products.
- Manage vendor communication, supplier onboarding, and purchase orders from placement through delivery to the distribution center.
- Track inventory performance metrics such as weeks of supply, turnover rate, and minimum stock levels.
- Improve forecast accuracy and inventory optimization while supporting retail expansion, warehouse optimization, and category expansion initiatives.
Requirements
- 2+ years of inventory planning or related planning experience, including finance or project management.
- Extensive knowledge of Excel and familiarity with inventory planning software.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of inventory planning and demand forecasting drivers.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Willingness to grow and take on increased responsibility.
- Availability to work from the San Francisco office 1–3 times per week.
