Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Onsite five days per week at a secure controlled information facility in Sterling, Virginia, United States. Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required before starting.

What you will do

• Integrate and test software subsystems and external systems, including interface contracts, data exchange, timing, usability, functionality, safety, and security.
• Create and maintain SWIT and SIT test threads, cases, steps, traceability, and verification evidence.
• Build simulators, stubs, message injectors, data generators, log analyzers, automated test suites, and reporting utilities.
• Expand automated regression coverage in CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot integration defects across system boundaries.
• Configure and deploy containerized software to lab, integration, and customer environments, including disconnected and classified enclaves.
• Document integration and deployment processes and share engineering practices with less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• STEM degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced related degree with at least 3 years of experience.
• Hands-on experience integrating and testing software across subsystem or external system boundaries and building test automation tooling.
• Experience in secure or regulated software environments and cross-functional software development teams.
• Working knowledge of AWS or GCP and experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, Helm, or ArgoCD/Flux.
• Proficiency with Python, Pytest, Linux shell scripting, CLI tools, GitLab, and Artifactory.
• Active and transferable TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed, real-time, or message-driven systems and interface simulators or emulators.
• Knowledge of JUnit XML, CTRF, Allure, Gherkin, Cucumber, NiFi, Kafka, REST APIs, Swagger, or Cameo.
• Mentoring or technical leadership experience.
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or DoD IAT Level II certification.
