Cloud FinOps & Technology Cost Strategy Manager

Location: Remote within the United States; work is performed from the colleague’s home, with occasional in-person team meetings potentially required.

Salary: $120,442–$192,707 per year

What you will do

• Establish and operate a FinOps function across AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, SaaS, AI, and on-premises technology spend.
• Manage Vantage and Zylo platforms, cost allocation taxonomies, tagging standards, dashboards, showback, chargeback, and executive reporting.
• Identify and drive optimization through rightsizing, storage tiering, resource cleanup, license reclamation, and commitment portfolio management.
• Build technology cost forecasts, variance analyses, project cost estimates, multi-year projections, and business cases.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, finance, procurement, security, and compliance to implement governance and realize savings.
• Develop AI and machine-learning cost governance, unit economics, consumption guardrails, and longer-term technology cost strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of experience in technology, finance, cloud cost management, infrastructure, or FinOps, including 3+ years in dedicated cloud financial management or FinOps.
• Hands-on ownership of cloud cost management platforms across at least two major public clouds; Vantage, Apptio, Cloudability, Flexera, CloudHealth, or CloudZero experience is relevant.
• Experience establishing tagging standards, allocation taxonomies, chargeback or showback models, commitment portfolios, and enterprise cost governance.
• FinOps Certified Practitioner certification required.
• Strong knowledge of cloud pricing and billing, financial modeling, reporting, Excel, Power BI or Tableau; SQL is preferred.

Nice to have

• OCI experience.
• Experience with Zylo, Productiv, Torii, or comparable SaaS management platforms.
• FinOps Certified Professional certification.
• Regulated or healthcare-adjacent industry experience.
