Senior Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE)

Salary: $115,000–$215,580 per year

What you will do

• Develop system, mission, and architecture models using SysML and MBSE practices.
• Integrate MBSE tools to conduct trade studies, analysis of alternatives, and system performance assessments.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, designs, risks, schedules, and verification artifacts.
• Track measures of effectiveness and technical performance measures to support engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to mature architectures and support design reviews.
• Maintain model baselines, configuration integrity, executable models, simulations, and analytical workflows.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active, transferable DOD TS/SCI clearance are required; the ability to obtain Special Access security clearance is required before starting.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of Model-Based Systems Engineering experience.
• Experience with the NoMagic/Cameo suite, including Cameo Systems Modeler, Teamwork Cloud, and Cameo Collaborator.
• Proficiency in SysML, system modeling methodologies, and object-oriented analysis and design.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in the classified Carlsbad facility.

Nice to have

• Experience with MATLAB, STK, Modelica, SciPy, or scikit-learn for analytical and simulation work.
• Experience developing executable system models, including OMG-CSMP certification or equivalent knowledge.
• Programming experience with Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience in Agile engineering environments supporting Department of War or Intelligence Community programs.
• Experience with UAF or DoDAF architecture frameworks.
