TL;DR
Senior Solution Architect (Defense and Intelligence): Designing customer-focused technical solutions and proposal architectures for US Government defense and intelligence opportunities with an accent on cybersecurity, system-of-systems engineering, MBSE, DevSecOps, and cloud architectures. Focus on translating mission requirements into compliant technical volumes, roadmaps, implementation plans, and cost and schedule estimates.

Location: Chantilly, Virginia; Northern Virginia; Dayton, Ohio; Colorado Springs, Colorado; El Segundo, California; King of Prussia, Pennsylvania; Huntsville, Alabama; Charleston, South Carolina; or Patuxent River, Maryland. Onsite role.

Salary: $189,000–$284,000 for Colorado, $198,000–$298,000 for Maryland, and $207,000–$311,000 for California and Northern Virginia.

What you will do

  • Drive technical strategy and solution design for government defense and intelligence business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business development, capture, and proposal teams to create technically sound solutions and winning strategies.
  • Gather requirements, shape customer engagements, and translate solution needs into proposal artifacts.
  • Lead the development, writing, review, and editing of technical proposal volumes, whitepapers, RFIs, and market-survey responses.
  • Develop system designs, technical roadmaps, implementation plans, value propositions, and bases of estimate.
  • Research emerging technologies and incorporate them into solutions that address mission, budget, and schedule constraints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and at least 10 years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute for the degree.
  • Experience leading technical solutioning with business development and capture management teams in defense and intelligence markets serving US Government customers.
  • Strong team-building and leadership capabilities, including collaboration with SMEs, stakeholders, and technical experts.
  • Ability to derive customer solutions that meet technical objectives within cost and schedule constraints.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, system-of-systems engineering, software, Agile engineering, Digital Engineering, MBSE, DevSecOps, and cloud architectures.
  • Active Top Secret clearance required, with eligibility for TS/SCI.
