Senior Quality Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States. Occasional night shifts, weekend work, and travel may be required. Successful candidates must clear a US government-administered background check to obtain clearance for on-site work at a government partner location.

Salary: $113,000–$169,000 USD annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Oversee in-process build verification, as-built verification, issue ticket workflows, and non-conformance management for Test and Launch operations.
• Establish project goals, priorities, completion criteria, and corrective action plans.
• Review work instructions and create standardized rework and repair documentation.
• Support the AS9100 Quality Management System by developing, implementing, and maintaining relevant policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Test and Launch, Manufacturing, and Hardware Responsible Engineering teams to resolve quality issues and align priorities.
• Analyze quality data and metrics, investigate root causes, recommend improvements, and communicate risks and project status to technical leaders and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
• 7+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality management, or manufacturing quality.
• Ability to apply engineering principles to technical issues, quality risks, and corrective actions.
• Experience leading or completing complex projects across technical and operational teams.
• Ability to communicate technical findings, quality risks, and recommended actions to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Ability to work on-site in Cape Canaveral and clear the required US government background check for site access.

Nice to have

• Quality engineering experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or complex assembly environments.
• Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, NASA quality standards, or comparable regulated quality systems.
• Experience with FMEA, APQP, SPC, or PPV.
• Experience using PLM, MES, ERP, or QMS systems for quality workflows and risk-based decisions.
