MCPP - Shipboard Engineer (Construction) Equipment Mechanic

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, with duty assignment aboard a ship in Guam, Saipan, or Diego Garcia. No relocation necessary.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Repair gasoline- and diesel-driven construction equipment, including tractors, power shovels, road machinery, air compressors, and concrete mixers.
• Maintain other engine-driven or towed construction equipment.
• Provide technical assistance, guidance, and training to lower-level mechanics.
• Assist higher-level mechanics and complete other reasonably assigned tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of directly related work experience.
• Completion of the Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course and Engineer Equipment Chief Course, or equivalent training.
• Valid passport and state driver's license.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and comply with established methods, quality standards, and schedules.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card, base access, and Secret clearance.
