TL;DR
International Trade Services Analyst Sr (International Trade) (Documentary Collections and Trade Finance): Processing import and export documentary collection transactions, reviewing trade documents, and executing payment settlements with an accent on sanctions screening, regulatory compliance, and transaction accuracy. Focus on identifying high-risk goods and countries, managing physical shipping documents, escalating discrepancies, and meeting service standards during Eastern Time business hours.

Location: In-office in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. Core hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Salary: $37,500–$62,500 base salary per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

  • Process import and export documentary collection transactions, including new setups, amendments, and payment settlements.
  • Review shipping and trade-related documents received from clients and international financial institutions.
  • Enter transaction details into trade finance systems while maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
  • Perform sanctions screening and transaction-level reviews covering parties, entities, vessels, locations, high-risk goods, and high-risk countries.
  • Prepare customer notifications, manage physical document filing and courier deliveries, and complete daily workloads within service standards.
  • Communicate with clients, international banking partners, and internal stakeholders; escalate discrepancies, compliance concerns, and operational risks.

Requirements

  • Typically 3+ years of related experience or relevant product knowledge; an associate degree or equivalent is typically required, with a bachelor’s degree listed for the position.
  • Experience with trade finance products such as Documentary Collections, Letters of Credit, or other international trade services.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, sanctions compliance, anti-money laundering requirements, and trade risk controls.
  • Experience with document review, transaction processing, or operational compliance functions.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail, critical thinking, communication, prioritization, and problem-management skills.
  • Employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not available.
