Senior Product Manager (Sovereign Services)

Location: Hybrid, Madrid, Spain. Up to 20 days per year of 100% remote work from other locations.

What you will do

• Lead the design, build and continuous evolution of the sovereign services operating model, including its principles, governance and roadmap.
• Translate EU and market-specific sovereignty requirements into operating-model controls, roles, run-books, evidence and assurance mechanisms.
• Engage customers, security teams, legal teams and procurement teams to capture sovereignty requirements and support confident service adoption.
• Work with Cyber Security, Legal & Regulatory, Operations, local markets and Cloud, Security, SaaS, AI and Networks portfolios.
• Embed the operating model consistently across the sovereign services portfolio and improve compliance delivery and time to market.
• Lead internal and external communications and act as a thought leader for service sovereignty.

Requirements

• Experience in operating-model design, service design or product management within the telecommunications or IT industry.
• Strong understanding of EU digital-sovereignty regulation and frameworks, including GDPR, NIS2, DORA, the EU Data Act and EU cloud or sovereignty certification schemes.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, data protection, compliance and assurance practices, as well as sovereign cloud and sovereign services architecture.
• Knowledge of data residency, access control, encryption and key management controls.
• Experience working with customers and auditors in assurance-focused roles, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and influence direct, virtual and supplier teams in a matrix organisation and work independently in a changing regulatory environment.

Nice to have

• Relevant professional certification such as CISM, CISSP or CIPP/E, or an equivalent qualification.
