Vice President, Space Systems Software (Aerospace)

Location: Littleton, Colorado, United States. U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements, and the role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. U.S. export-control requirements apply to work in U.S. offices.

Base pay range: $210,000–$300,000 USD annually, plus potential stock or cash incentives.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the software business unit’s strategy for revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability.
• Lead business development, customer relationships, partnerships, and opportunities involving satellite operators and government customers.
• Oversee product development and delivery of satellite flight and ground software solutions.
• Guide technology advancement across AI, automation, cloud-based solutions, and software roadmaps.
• Drive operational excellence through resource allocation, process optimization, cost management, and KPI tracking.
• Build and lead cross-functional teams while owning the organization’s P&L, budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 12+ years of leadership experience focused on business development, strategy execution, revenue growth, and software products.
• Proven experience leading and scaling software businesses.
• U.S. citizenship required due to program requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance required.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, financial, budgeting, and P&L management skills.

Nice to have

• MBA or advanced degree in engineering or computer science.
• Active security clearance.
• Experience with government agencies, commercial satellite operators, or defense contractors.
• Experience in aerospace or satellite software businesses and familiarity with related standards and regulations.
• Knowledge of satellite flight software, ground software, AI, machine learning, or cloud computing.
