Senior Engineer, Analytics (AI/ML)

Location: US, Louisville, CO; up to 5–10% travel to partner offices and project locations

Salary: $113,000–$141,525/year, plus annual bonus

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain data warehouses, data pipelines, analytics datasets, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions for Operations and Maintenance.
• Establish data quality, governance, validation, and system performance frameworks.
• Ensure reliable ingestion and processing of operational data from SCADA, DAS, and external sources into the GCP data lake.
• Own and administer core data engineering and analytics platforms and provide technical support for production reporting systems.
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineering, O&M Engineering, Digital, Operations Technology, and Data Engineering teams to deliver scalable data products.
• Participate in AI/Machine Learning initiatives and improve data quality and utilization across clean energy assets.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical field, plus 5+ years of experience in analytics-focused or engineering roles.
• Advanced proficiency with R, Python, or SAS, and SQL.
• Advanced experience developing reports and dashboards with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, or comparable BI software.
• Strong familiarity with DAS and SCADA systems, data architectures, data models, and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, or another cloud platform, and with tools such as dbt, Prefect, or Airflow.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, planning, and task-management skills, with a commitment to quality and safety.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or an equivalent field.
• Technical experience with Solar PV, wind, and energy storage systems.
• Experience with AI/ML-enabled analytics, including LLMs, RAG, and anomaly detection.
• Spanish language skills.
