Data Center Portfolio Lead (AI Infrastructure)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY; hybrid policy requires staff to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time.

Annual salary: $320,000–$405,000 USD

What you will do

• Manage the data center portfolio, including site status, milestones, decisions, open items, and risks.
• Lead portfolio reviews covering supply status, required decisions, and downstream impacts.
• Architect and operate a stage-gate framework covering negotiation, lease execution, design and chip lock, construction, and operational handoff.
• Coordinate chip allocation with planning and design teams ahead of deadlines.
• Serve as the primary contact between strategic partners and internal site selection, energy, supply chain, engineering, and delivery stakeholders.
• Develop AI-driven tooling and data pipelines to automate project updates across the portfolio.

Requirements

• Experience managing data centers or comparable capital-intensive infrastructure at scale.
• Experience owning external development or partner relationships and holding both sides accountable to commitments.
• Experience building or operating stage-gate or milestone frameworks and driving adoption across teams.
• Understanding of power, cooling, design, hardware placement, and delivery-date constraints.
• Experience automating reporting with tooling or data pipelines.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• Technical program management experience on capital projects across multiple concurrent builds.
• Management consulting or internal strategy experience.
• Accelerator or server fleet planning experience and knowledge of related data center designs.
• Experience negotiating or managing leases and framework agreements.
