US Commercial AI, Portfolio Lead (AI)

Location: United States — New York — New York City. Hybrid role requiring onsite work 2 to 3 days per week. Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual base salary: $214,900–$358,100, plus a 22.5% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Lead governance, portfolio strategy, value realization, and operating excellence for Commercial AI builds supporting Marketing, Field, Market Access, and Patient Services.
• Define build standards, decision rights, intake criteria, approval pathways, controls, documentation, and deployment requirements for federated citizen-developer teams.
• Establish a shared AI build registry to sequence dependencies, identify reusable assets, manage capacity constraints, and resolve cross-functional trade-offs.
• Chair the Commercial AI Council and align Business, Finance, Technology, Data, Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and Security stakeholders.
• Partner with the CIO Organization to design and deliver an AI-powered intake and reporting platform for submission, evaluation, prioritization, governance routing, and portfolio visibility.
• Build, mentor, and lead a cross-functional team spanning portfolio management, governance, standards, and enablement.

Requirements

• BA/BS and 12+ years of progressive experience leading cross-functional commercial, digital, technology, governance, or AI initiatives at scale; graduate degrees may substitute for experience.
• Experience leading enterprise governance, portfolio, or Center of Excellence functions in complex, matrixed organizations.
• Executive-level stakeholder engagement, influence, decision facilitation, and trade-off management across business, technology, data, legal, privacy, compliance, and security functions.
• Experience defining operating models, standards, controls, and adoption pathways for distributed teams operating within centrally governed frameworks.
• Experience leading and developing direct, indirect, or matrixed teams.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, agentic AI patterns, APIs, permissions, data products, prompt design, evaluation, telemetry, deployment patterns, and modern AI tooling.

Nice to have

• Experience establishing enterprise-wide AI, technology, or agent governance functions or Centers of Excellence.
• Experience building intake, portfolio, reporting, registry, or AI-powered governance workflow platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud AI platforms, agent frameworks, prompt and evaluation tooling, telemetry, and production deployment.
• Experience with citizen-developer governance, low-code/no-code enablement, federated build standards, or guardrails in regulated environments.
• Background in AI ethics, responsible AI, privacy, regulatory frameworks, and Legal & Compliance standards.
